This is it!
Hola family and friends... Mere and I leave for Oaxaca tomorrow (Friday 08/07) and we’ll immediately start the preparations to host you all. So I think this is truly our final group update with some helpful information. But feel free to text us with questions (just be mindful of time difference) and we’ll get back to you ASAP. The first important thing to know is obviously what will be happening and when. We mentioned it in previous posts but let’s put it all together here:

Fasten your seat belts...
Hola amigos, The celebration in Oaxaca is just around the corner. Thank you all who are joining us for a great time in one of the most magical places on this planet (yes, we're biased, lol). We have a "somewhat official" list of 31 amazing friends and family folks confirmed. I say "somewhat official" because we initially plan the celebrations for 50 people so I just guess you can either let us know if you plan on bringing an extra guest OR for those who didn't RSVP you have o

Viva la Guelaguetza y Viva Oaxaca
Hola amigos, We are exactly one month away from our beautiful reunion in Oaxaca. I hope you are all as excited as we are to have an amazing time together. This time is very special in Oaxaca. The end of July is when the Oaxacans celebrate the Guelaguetza, a festival that brings together all of the eight different regions of the state of Oaxaca and in which they share with everyone who participates their music, dances, products, and mostly their love for their culture. I da

The Answer is 42...
Let's get a little nerdy here. In the book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, 42 is the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything" but more importantly than that, 42 is the number of days left until we start celebrating together in Oaxaca. 42 days! Can you believe it??? In the period since our last update (sorry it took a while) Mere and I bought a home, boxed all of our belongings from our tiny apartment and moved into the new (and much more s

Three months to go
Three months to go … Can you believe it? We’re only three months away now. We have 33 confirmed guests!!! Party on!!! If you haven’t done so yet, it’s time to start booking your plane tickets. Unfortunately Trump’s War is not going away and specialists have confirmed that even if the war ends tomorrow the price of gas will take a while to come down meaning that airfare will not come down significantly in near future. So, plan on getting those tickets as soon as you can. Mos

T-Minus 118 days...
Hola amigos y amigas, We are less than four months away from our celebration weekend in Oaxaca. The RSVPs are in and Meredith and I are continuously working on the arrangements. Here are some of the things we confirmed in these past two weeks: August 14th, Friday evening: Oaxaca Mi Amor Celebration Dinner at the AirBNB. We are still finalizing the dinner menu but we already contracted a local tlayuda caterer to prepare a delicious main course of the most tradicional Oaxacan d

Time is flying, things are happening
Hiya dear friends, This is not a prank (Happy April 1st!). This is an update on our super fun Oaxaca Anniversary Celebration! After our last post we got some new responses and we can now confirm that the "official" AirBnB is full from August 13th to the 17th. But wait, that only means that you will have to find lodging in one of the wornderful Hotels, AirBnBs, or Bed&Breaksfasts nearby. Check our previous post for some suggestions on where to stay. Meredith and I will actua

We're five months away...
Hello dearest friends, We are five months away from our beautiful anniversary celebration. We can't wait to have all of you join us in our beloved city of Oaxaca de Juárez to, once again, celebrate our beautiful story of love, friendship, and partnership. We just booked the most incredible venue. Even though we weren't able to repeat the same venue where our wedding took place five years ago, we were able to secure a gorgeous AirBNB Villa for the days of the actual celebratio
